Malala Day 2014 is finally here! In honor of the activist’s crusade for education, we wanted to highlight four other game-changers who are dedicating their lives to schooling others.
Here are some of the heroes making Malala proud today:
+ Tammy Tibbetts
Since founding She’s the First in 2009, Tammy has helped hundreds of girls in more than 10 countries be the first in their families to graduate from secondary school. Want to help Tibbetts and STF? + Adam Braun
For Adam Braun, it all started with a pencil. After realizing the value of education on a trip abroad, Braun came home with one goal: helping boys and girls around the world get an education. Since founding Pencils of Promise, he has teamed up with the likes of Sophia Bush and Justin Bieber to build more than 200 schools and has served more than 28,000 students. Want to learn more? + Reshma Saujani
Reshma Saujani isn’t just concerned with educating girls; she also wants to help them break into a notoriously male-dominated field. + Shiza Shahid
